Prom Information
JUNIOR/SENIOR PROM – 2008
(Operation Security will be in effect)
Date: Saturday, May 17, 2008
Location: Day’s Inn and Conference Center in South Whitehall Twsp.
Price: $60 per student (if class dues satisfied)
$85 per student (if class dues are outstanding)
Checks are to be directed to PAAHS – Class of 2009
The prom is for Juniors and Seniors of PAAHS
Guests: $85 per guest – all guests must be approved by the administration through a completion of a guest card by a PAAHS student and written permission from the parent – Age limit is strongly suggested to be 20 years and is at the discretion of the administration in consultation with the parents of the student making the request.
No Middle School students are permitted to attend.
Ticket Sales: Wed., March 26th – 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. – A-Gym Lobby
Thurs., March 27th & Fri., March 28th – A-Gym Lobby – before and after school
Tables can seat 8 people and registration will occur when purchasing tickets
Attire: Formal:
Females: Formal dress or gown
Males: Tuxedo
***shirts with tuxedo design are not permitted; no sneakers or casual shoes; guests are also required to conform to the dress code
Behavior: All school rules and regulations are in effect.
The prom is an “alcohol-free, drug-free, and smoke-free event.”
Highly suggestive or obscene dancing is forbidden.
No removal of shirts is permitted.
Parents would be contacted to transport any major violators.
Meal: Buffet: featuring sliced sirloin of beef, honey Dijon chicken, and fettuccini Alfredo (this is preceded by a host of appetizers)
Pictures: Christmas City will be taking photographs from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in A-Gym based upon appointments made when tickets are purchased. This is not included in the price of the ticket and is optional. All family members are invited to conduct their own photography at this time.
Transportation: All students and their guests ARE REQUIRED TO BE TRANSPORTED BY CHARTER BUSES TO AND FROM THE PROM. Buses will depart from the high school at 4:00 p.m. Bus registration will be conducted upon the purchase of a ticket.
AN EARLY BUS will depart from the Day’s Inn at 10:00 p.m. for drivers with junior licenses. The remaining buses will leave at 11:00 p.m. for the return to the high school.
Post Prom: The post prom will be held at the Bangor Lanes from 11:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. under the coordination of Mrs. Terri Maynard and Mrs. Serena Ashmore and other volunteers. There is a nominal fee of $5.00 for each student and the theme this year is “A KNIGHT TO REMEMBER.” Checks can be directed to, “PAAHS Post Prom Fund.” The coordinators of the post prom are in need of new adult volunteers with this event as well donations for the prizes that are awarded to the students. Please contact Mr. Smith at the high school if you are interested in assisting in any way with the post prom.
